24 hour mobile tyre fitting across South Wales

Your safety comes first and the phone call comes second. Here's what to do, depending on where you are.

  • On the motorway hard shoulder

Pull safely onto the hard shoulder and switch your hazard lights on. Get everyone out through the left-hand doors and behind the barrier, well away from the traffic. If you can't get clear of a live lane, call 999 straight away. Once you're safe, ring us with the motorway you're on, your direction of travel and the nearest marker post.

  • On a fast road or dual carriageway

If the car will still roll, ease it into the next lay-by or off at the next junction with your hazards flashing. Get everyone out on the verge side and stand well back from the carriageway. Then ring us and tell us the road name, your direction of travel and the nearest junction or recognisable landmark.

  • At home, late at night

A flat tyre on your drive in the dark isn't dangerous, so leave the car exactly where it is. If you can, put the outside light on to help the fitter see, and find your locking wheel nut key if your car has one. Ring us with your address and the fitter will come to your house.

  • In a car park after dark

Stay in the car, or wait somewhere well lit close by. Ring us with the name of the car park, your level or bay and the nearest exit. If there's a height barrier or a pass system, let us know so we know how to reach you.

Why call Fast Fit when you're stuck

When you're stranded, the last thing you want is to be chasing anyone up. Here's what you can count on when you ring us.

  • A real person answers, at any hour

We're a local family firm and our phones are answered 24/7, so you speak to the people who send out the vans. If you'd rather type, message us on WhatsApp instead.

  • Usually with you within 40 minutes

For most tyre call-outs, day or night, that's our usual time. It's a usual time rather than a promise: heavy traffic, bad weather and how far we are from you decide the real arrival time.

  • You know the price before we set off

We quote the whole job on the phone and you agree that figure before the van leaves, so there are no surprises when the fitter arrives.

What happens when you ring

Once you've made the call, the problem becomes our job. Here's what happens next.

  1. Ring us, wherever you are

Ring 0800 999 4046 or message us on WhatsApp. Tell us exactly where you've stopped, give us your registration (or the tyre size from the sidewall) and say what happened. On a motorway or fast road, give us the road name, your direction and the nearest junction or marker post.

  2. Agree the price

We quote the job right there on the phone. If you're happy with the figure, say yes. Only then does the van set off.

  3. A new tyre, fitted where you've stopped

A fitter reaches you, usually within 40 minutes, and fits the new tyre at the roadside, on your drive or in the car park. You pay by cash, card or bank transfer once the job is done.

What an emergency call-out costs

You'll hear the price before we move an inch. Ring 0800 999 4046, tell us what tyre you need and exactly where you've stopped, and we'll quote the whole job on the call. Agree to it and we set off. You pay by cash, card or bank transfer.

205/55 R16 91V: width 205 mm, profile 55% of the width, 16-inch rim, load index 91, speed rating V. The size code on your tyre's sidewall. It's also on the label inside the driver's door pillar, or give us the registration and we look it up.
What shapes an emergency quote. You'll always hear the exact figure on the phone before we set off.
What moves the priceWhat it means for your quote
The tyre you needThe width, profile and rim size from the sidewall, plus the load index and speed rating your vehicle calls for. Your registration is usually enough for us to work it out.
Your vehicleHeavier vehicles like vans, SUVs and 4x4s often need reinforced or higher-rated tyres, which cost more than standard small-car tyres.
One tyre or moreOne flat tyre needs one replacement. If another tyre on the same axle looks heavily worn or damaged, tell us on the call and we'll quote for both as a single job.
Where you've stopped, and whenFitting a tyre on a quiet drive or in a car park is a different job from a fast road or a motorway hard shoulder, and a call-out in the small hours is different from a Sunday afternoon. We'll explain how that affects the price before you agree.

Flat tyre or blowout: what to do

Whatever has happened to the tyre, the solution is the same: a safe new tyre, fitted where you've stopped.

  • A flat tyre

Get the car somewhere safe, switch your hazard lights on and ring us. We'll fit a new tyre exactly where you've stopped, so you don't need to find an open garage or arrange a tow.

  • A blowout

A sudden burst can pull the car off line. Hold the steering wheel firmly, ease off the accelerator and brake very gently. Pull over only when it's safe, get out of the car and ring us. A fitter will come to you with a new tyre.

  • Can I drive on a flat tyre?

Only as far as you need to reach a safe place to stop. Driving on a flat ruins the handling, can tear the tyre apart and often damages the wheel rim, which turns a simple tyre replacement into a much more expensive job. Stop safely, then ring us.

  • A bulge, cut or split in the sidewall

Any damage to the sidewall compromises the tyre's structure, so it has to be replaced, even if it's still holding air. Drive as little as you can, then ring us and we'll fit a safe replacement.

Emergency cover across South Wales

We provide emergency tyre cover across South Wales, day and night. If you're stranded between towns or somewhere hard to describe, give us the road name, your direction of travel and the nearest junction or landmark. That's usually enough for us to find you.

If the vehicle has damage beyond the tyre, we can also help with recovery if the car can't be driven, whatever the hour.

Emergency tyre fitting questions

How much does an emergency tyre fitting cost?

There's no single fixed figure, because it depends on the tyre you need and where you've stopped. Ring 0800 999 4046, give us your registration (or tyre size) and your location, and we'll quote the whole job on the call. Say yes and we set off. You pay by cash, card or bank transfer.

Who can I call if I have a flat tyre?

Ring us on 0800 999 4046, day or night. We fit new tyres at the roadside, on motorways, at homes and in car parks across South Wales, and our phones are answered 24/7. If you're trapped in a live lane and can't get clear, call 999 first, then ring us.

Can someone come out and change a tyre for me?

Yes, that's exactly what we do. A fitter drives to wherever you've stopped with a new tyre and the tools to fit it, whether that's a motorway hard shoulder, a lay-by or your own drive. You wait somewhere safe while we work, and there's no need to find an open garage or arrange a tow.

How long will you take to reach me?

Our usual time for a tyre call-out is within 40 minutes, whatever the hour. How far we have to travel, motorway traffic and bad weather can all stretch that, so please treat it as a usual figure rather than a guarantee. The sooner you can tell us exactly where you've stopped, the sooner the van can head the right way.

Do you fit tyres at night, at weekends and on bank holidays?

Yes. We're open 24/7, so a call at 2am on a Sunday gets the same answer as one at 2pm on a Tuesday, and bank holidays are no different. Ring or message us on WhatsApp at any hour. A night-time call-out is quoted over the phone like any other, with the price agreed before we set off.

Can you come out to a motorway?

Yes, motorway call-outs are part of what we do. Your safety comes first: get everyone out on the left-hand side, behind the safety barrier and well back from the traffic, and call 999 straight away if you can't get clear of a live lane. Once you're safe, tell us the motorway, your direction of travel and the nearest junction or marker post.

Can I call the AA if I'm not a member?

You don't need to be a member of any club to call us. The AA can tell you what it offers non-members, but you can ring us at any hour, tell us the tyre you need and where you are, and we'll quote the job on the phone before we set off.
