Tyre fitting at home or at work, anywhere in South Wales
As long as your vehicle is parked somewhere safe, we can fit the tyre right there.
On your drive at home
All we need is flat ground and a little room to walk round the car. If you have a locking wheel nut, leave the key somewhere handy. We handle everything outside your house, so you don't even have to put your shoes on.
In the work car park
Tell us the company name, the car park and which bay you're in, and give us a number we can reach you on. The car stays put, the tyre gets sorted and your workday carries on.
In a shop, hospital or station car park
Coming out to a flat tyre when you just want to get home is frustrating. Don't worry: stay with the car, tell us which car park and entrance you're near, and we'll come to your parking space.
At the roadside or on the motorway
Your safety comes first. Get everyone out of the car and well away from the traffic, behind the barrier if you're on a motorway. If you're stuck in a live lane, call 999 straight away. Once you're safe, ring us with your location, your direction of travel and the nearest junction or marker post.
Why drivers ring Fast Fit
When you're stranded, you want a straight answer and a van on its way. Here's what you can count on.
Someone answers, any hour
Our phones are answered 24/7 by a real person. You won't get a voicemail: you get someone who can quote the job there and then.
No surprises on the price
We quote the whole job over the phone and you agree the price before the van sets off. You pay by cash, card or bank transfer once the tyre is on.
Cars, vans and 4x4s
We fit tyres for cars, vans, SUVs, 4x4s and light commercials. One call covers the family hatchback and the work van.
A real local firm
We're a local family business, and the people who answer your call are the people who run the vans.
How mobile tyre fitting works
Mobile tyre fitting means the garage comes to you. Our fitter arrives with your new tyre and the tools to fit it right where you're parked. No towing, no waiting room, no hassle.
Call us
Ring 0800 999 4046 or message us on WhatsApp. Tell us what's wrong and exactly where the car is, and give us your registration (or the tyre size printed on the sidewall).
Agree the price
We give you a clear quote for the whole job right there on the phone. If you're happy with it, give us the green light and we set off.
We come to you
The van heads out once the price is agreed, usually reaching you within 40 minutes, day or night. It's our usual time rather than a promise, because traffic and weather affect our drive just like anyone else's.
New tyre fitted, you pay
The fitter replaces the tyre on the spot, and you pay by cash, card or bank transfer. Your day gets back on track without a trip to a depot or a second visit.
Cars, vans, SUVs and 4x4s
The right tyre depends on what you drive. Tell us your vehicle and we'll make sure you get the right match.
Cars
For most cars we can match the right tyre quickly from your registration or the size on the sidewall. If your wheels need a locking nut key, keep it with the car so the fitter can get the wheel off.
Vans and light commercials
Vans carry heavy loads, so the load index matters as much as the size. Many van tyres are commercial tyres, marked with a C after the rim size (205/65 R16C, for example). Tell us what you drive and what you usually carry, and we'll fit the right one.
SUVs and 4x4s
These often run bigger wheels and higher load ratings. On a 4x4 it's worth checking whether the tyres across an axle need to match, because some four-wheel-drive systems don't like a mix of tread depths. Ring us and we'll talk through the best options for your vehicle.

How much mobile tyre fitting costs
No guesswork: we quote every job over the phone, and you agree the price before we set off. Ring 0800 999 4046, tell us what you need and where you are, and you'll get one clear price for the whole job. You pay by cash, card or bank transfer.
| What moves the price | What it means for your quote |
|---|---|
| Tyre size | Width, profile and rim size from the sidewall. Larger wheels and lower profiles generally cost more to replace. |
| Load index and speed rating | Heavier vehicles like vans, SUVs and 4x4s often need stronger, higher-rated tyres than a standard hatchback. |
| Brand | If you have a preferred brand in mind, say so on the call and we'll tell you what we can supply for your size. |
| How many tyres | A single tyre, a pair or a full set: you get one clear quote for the whole job. |
| Where you are and when | Changing a tyre on a sunny driveway is a different job from a fast-lane motorway breakdown at 3am, and we'll explain why on the call. |

Stranded at night or on the motorway?
A flat in the dark, in the pouring rain or on a fast road is stressful. Take a breath: help is one phone call away. We answer 24/7 and are usually with you within 40 minutes.
Emergency tyre fitting, 24 hours a day
And if the damage is worse than a tyre and the car can't be driven, don't worry: we also handle car recovery at any hour.
Call 0800 999 4046How do you choose the right tyre?
You don't need to be a mechanic to choose the right tyre. A few things printed on it tell us exactly what fits.
Read the size on the sidewall
Look for a code like 205/55 R16 91V on the side of the tyre. 205 is the width in millimetres, 55 is the height of the sidewall as a percentage of that width, R means radial construction and 16 is the rim size in inches.
Check the load index
The number after the rim size (91 in our example) is the load index, which sets how much weight one tyre can safely carry. 91 stands for 615 kg. Never fit a tyre with a lower load index than your vehicle's handbook recommends, which matters most on vans.
Check the speed rating
The letter at the end (V here) is the speed rating, the top speed the tyre is built for. V is good for up to 149 mph. Always keep to your car maker's rating, or higher.
Look at the tyre label
Tyres sold in the UK carry a label that grades fuel efficiency and wet grip from A to E and shows the noise level in decibels. It's a good way to compare two tyres that fit on more than the price.
Mind the 3% rule
If you change to a different size from the one your car came with, the overall diameter of the wheel and tyre needs to stay within about 3% of the original, or your speedometer will read wrongly. If you're unsure, ask us before switching sizes.
Is mobile fitting as good as a garage?
The tyre is the same either way. The only difference is that you don't have to give up your afternoon to a waiting room to get it fitted.
| What matters | Mobile fitting with us | Going to a garage |
|---|---|---|
| Where it's done | Exactly where your car is parked: your drive, at work or safely at the roadside | At their garage, so you have to drive or tow the car there first |
| Your time | You carry on with your day (or stay safe inside) while the fitter does the work | You wait in a reception area, or arrange a lift home |
| A flat tyre | We come to you and fit a new one on the spot | The car may need to be towed, or driven in on the damaged tyre |
| Opening hours | 24/7, and a real person answers the phone day and night | Usually shop hours |
| Booking | Ring and we set off once the price is agreed, usually reaching you within 40 minutes | Often an appointment, sometimes days away |
| Price | Agreed clearly on the phone before we set off | Quoted at the garage, often on the day |

Three gents stayed a little late and helped change my completely flat tyre and even noticed that my other tyre was dangerous. Thanks for helping me out so quickly.
Amazing service - great price, friendly people would 100% recommend. I was travelling back home to Cambridge from visiting family in Cardiff, and they got to me within 30 minutes. 10/10
Mobile tyre fitting FAQs
How much should a mobile tyre fitting cost?
No two jobs are exactly alike, so we don't publish a standard price. Yours depends on the tyre size, load rating, brand, how many tyres you need and where you are. What we do promise is a straight answer: we quote on the phone, and you agree the price before we set off.
Can I get same-day tyre fitting?
Yes. We work 24/7, so a call today usually means a fitter with you the same day, and for an urgent flat it's usually within 40 minutes. Ring 0800 999 4046 and we'll tell you what we can do.
Do mobile tyre fitters cost more than a garage?
Not necessarily, though we won't pretend we're always the cheapest option. A garage may be cheaper if you have time to drive in safely and wait. With us you're paying for the convenience and safety of the fitter coming to you, which saves you the journey, the wait and a day off work. Either way, we'll give you the price up front so you can decide what suits you.
How are you different from Halfords or Kwik Fit?
We're a local, independent team, so when you ring us at any hour you speak to the people running the call-out. We do same-day and emergency fitting, and you agree one price before the van leaves. The big chains are good at booked appointments in a fitting bay, which is a different job.
What is the 3% rule for tyres?
It's a safety guideline for changing tyre size. The overall diameter of the wheel and tyre should stay within about 3% of the factory original. Go beyond that and your speedometer will be inaccurate and the car's safety systems can be thrown off. Check your handbook, or ask us which sizes are safe for your car.
Can you fit tyres at my home?
Yes, that's what most people ask for. We just need you to park on firm, level ground with a little space around the car. If you have a locking wheel nut, leave the key in the car. Give us your registration and the address when you ring.
Can you fit tyres at my workplace?
Yes. Tell us the company name, which car park, the nearest entrance or bay and a number the fitter can reach you on. If your workplace has security gates or a pass system, let us know in advance so we can get straight in.
Can you fit a single tyre?
Yes, you don't have to buy a pair. If the tyre on the other side of the same axle is heavily worn, it's often safer to replace both, and we'll give you honest, no-pressure advice when we think that's worth doing.
Do you fit van tyres?
Yes, for vans and light commercial vehicles. Van tyres have a higher load index, and many are commercial tyres marked with a C after the rim size. Tell us your registration and what you usually carry, and we'll make sure the tyre can handle the job.
What do I need to tell you when I call?
Three main things: exactly where the car is, your registration (or the tyre size from the sidewall) and a quick description of what happened. Also say whether the car has a locking wheel nut and whether you have the key. If you're on a main road or motorway, tell us the road, the direction you're travelling and the nearest junction.
How do I find my tyre size?
Look on the side of your current tyre for a code like 205/55 R16 91V. The first three numbers and the rim size are what we need to match it. If you can't read it, don't worry: your registration is enough for us to look it up, and your handbook lists it too.
What is the legal tread depth for car tyres?
In the UK the legal minimum is 1.6 mm across the central three-quarters of the tread, all the way round the tyre. Grip in the wet drops as tread wears down, so many drivers replace earlier. If you're unsure whether your tyres are safe, ring us and we'll talk it through.
How do I pay?
By cash, card or bank transfer, when the new tyre is on. We agree the price on the phone before we set off, so you'll know exactly what you're paying before the fitter arrives.
